How to view Facebook photo on web without the black border in a popup window

Few years ago Facebook has create a new view for displaying images and videos from Facebook albums and from time-line in pop out windows on same page with black background. Although it is nice way to explore images and videos but some people don’t like it. By default whenever you click any video and image of Facebook it will open it in pop-up windows as shown below:

If you want to see photos without being placed in floating windows with black border you can do this very easily.

  • Open the photo or video that you want to see without this pop-up windows, once it open simply reload the page (by pressing F5 on Windows or Command + R on Mac).
  • Similarly you can open images and videos in web page by holding Ctrl key + left Click or pressing right click on it and then click on “open in new windows”

How to protect/Lock a folder in windows 7 or windows 8:

How to make a Private Folder without any Password protected software:

You can protect or lock any folder in windows 7 or in windows 8 with many different ways and techniques, but here I will show you a very easy and simplest way to lock and protect your folder without using any password protected or folder locker software. In this way you can also protect your important folder from accidental removal.

  1. To make such a folder need to make a folder with any name or you can protect an existing folder. For example I have created a “w7cloud” on my desktop and I want to protect this folder.
  2. Open the “run” console by pressing windows-key+R  and type the “cmd” for opening command prompt.Run in windows7
  3. Now open the directory where you have created that folder by using command “cd <path of folder>”, I have type “cd desktop” for my folder. Now type the following command :

    “Cacls w7cloud /E /P everyone:n”protect folder with command

  4. And hit enter the folder is locked now.

  5. To open the folder just: replace with: funlock folder

Method 2:

  1. You can protect the folder by opening the properties of any folder and then select the security tab and deny permissions for Everyone.

Designing QoS for Voice Traansport/Network

For designing a good voice network you should have to aware the following voice control issues:

Packet Loss and Packet Delay:

As a network engineer for better voice communication you need to minimize the packet loss and packet delay. Normally for a voice network 150ms one way delay is acceptable, but anything above 400ms is unacceptable and cause problems for your voice network. You also need to focus and control the following fixed delays:

Propagation Delay:

Propagation Delay is delay of sending and receiving data from transmitter to receiver, this delay is fixed and normally building delay of the networking devices.

Serialization Delay:

this delay is occurring when you send the voice data on the interface of a network device. This delay is directly related to interface or link bandwidth and speed and you can minimize this delay by increasing your bandwidth.

Processor Delay:

processor delay is the delay of compressing, decompressing and encoding of data by device.

Queuing Delay:

This delay is related to your input/output queuing of data at each router or network device, for voice enabled router you have many queuing techniques. You can minimize this delay by QoS.

Jitter:

Jitter is a variation in delay of received packet, when you continuing sending packet in a stream, they are spaced in even fashion but because of congested network and improper queuing techniques other causes jitter is occur. In voice enabled router you can control the jitter by dejitter duffers and playout delay buffer.

Echo:Echo is small delay in voice packets and you can minimize this by echo canceller.

Designing QoS for Voice Traansport:

Here are some guidelines for designing QoS for voice network.

  • You can apply the QoS techniques for WAN having E1/T1 connection or lower.
  • QoS is most effective on bursty WAN connections, where you are having large traffic and have to send large data over the WAN, dealing with replication on certain part of day.
  • You can implement QoS for delay sensitive applications and traffic like stock exchange, web training or video conferencing.
  • If you have congestion in your network then for congestion management you can apply and enable QoS for your voice Network.
  • For better voice design and QoS you need to implement earlier goals and need to have a proper plan for your all type of data, far this you can implement content networking.
  • You want to design your voice network with Cisco then for best QoS you need CCNP and CCIElevel professionals.
  • Also make sure that your routers are configured properly for QoS and for best practice before configuration list all the QoS features of your routers, switches and other network devices and enable them.

Modular Network design and network architecture | CCDA

This article is related to Network Structure and network infrastructure, also we will discuss redundancy by the use of devices, media, and route redundancy to improve network availability. Network architecture separates the network design into more manageable modules. Modular network design simplifies the network and provides you many benefits. The hierarchical network model or three-layer model was one of the first Cisco models that divided the network into core, distribution-layer, and access layers.

On the other hands Cisco Enterprise Composite Network Model provides a functional modular approach to network Design. In modular network, modules are used to organize server farms, network management, campus networks, WANs, and the Internet.

Modular and hierarchical models enable you to design a hierarchical network that meets current requirements and can grow to meet future requirements. Modular Network design use layers to simplify the tasks for inter-networking. Each layer can focus on specific functions, allowing you to choose the right systems and features for each layer. Hierarchical models apply to both LAN and WAN design.

Benefits of the Modular Network design

Following are the benefits of using Modular Network design for your network design:

  • Cost savings
  • Ease of understanding
  • Modular network growth
  • Improved fault isolation

Following are the important aspects of network architecture and modular design and you can implement these solutions at large network enterprises..

  1. Intelligent network services
  2. Security
  3. Availability
  4. Voice Transport
  5. Content Networking

Intelligent Network Services:

Intelligent Network Services involves the rich set of processes for packet forwarding, network management tools, Quality of services for controlling different aspect of network, Security mechanisms and availability.

The network management is a service that allows us to control different parts of network like server farm, can mange multilayer switches, also allow us managing WAN and access component of network.

Network management involves the system administration, administration server like Microsoft server 2008 or 2003, Linux UNIX, Security aspect like authentications, encryption, fail-over techniques, application base filtering and IDS.

High Availability:

While designing a network we need to focus on high Availability of network. The key components for achieving high availability are

Hardware Device redundancy: Hardware redundancy is expensive but also provides you the high availability. You can achieve the this type of redundancy from the redundant features of hardware for example many devices have port redundancy, if a port is down other got up and devices with power redundancy if the power from one source is down, device will automatically shift to other power.

Link Redundancy: You can create the redundant links between your high end switches in your network, mesh topology is best way for accomplishing link redundancy. In Cisco switch network you can attain the link redundancy very easily, because STP prevent for creating loop in networks.

Route Redundancy: You define the redundant routes with dynamic routing protocols like RIPv2, EIGRP and OSPF.

Redundant servers and workstations: you can use the redundant servers for your important services, think like primary and secondary servers are good examples. You can also use the software base redundancy using different protocols lik hot standby routing protocol (HSRP) providing you multiple gateway redundancy if a gateway or ISP is down your clients are automatically shifted to other gateway.

Voice Transport:

Voice transport is a network solution that’s run on the top of a network. While implementing a transport solution first you need to consider your enterprise network, implement the data component first then integrate your voice solution into your network. Voice transports include VoIP and IP telephony

Voice over IP:

Normally in VoIP solution we have a PBX environment that may be connected to PSTN and we have the analog phones. VoIP solution uses the voice enable routers that convert analog to IP packets.

IP Telephony:

In IP telephone we have IP Phones and there may be a Call Manager Server for routing and converting voice into IP. Switches with in-line power can be part of this type of network solution for providing the power to IP phones.

Network Design Fundamentals and Principles

In my option Cisco is best vendor for providing the network solution. Designing an effective network and then choosing best hardware and software for your network, is the key to success of your business. This article is about the fundamental design principles that should be followed when designing a network. While directly going to design principles first we understand the part of corporate network. An organizational‘s network can be divided into three groups:

  • Data center
  • Network
  • Applications

Each area has its own experts, budget, and challenges.Cisco has created an interwoven structure to create three architectures for each area that provides a management and process for managing the each part of network and the integration with other areas:

  • Borderless networks architecture

Cisco Borderless Network Architecture is a next-generation solution that enables secure, reliable, and seamless connectivityto anyone and anything, anywhere, and at any time.

  •  Collaboration architecture

Collaboration Architecture includes communication and collaboration applications, enterprise and Collaboration architectures.

  •  Data center/virtualization architecture

Cisco’s data center/virtualization architecture is built upon Cisco Data Center 3.0. It comprisesa comprehensive set of virtualization technologies and services that bring the network, computing, storage, and virtualization platforms together.

Following are the some network methods/models which defines the basic fundamentals and principles of designing the network for an organization.

 Organization policies and procedures:

While designing  a network you should aware with the company polices, limits, procedures and other related rules/agreements that can influence you network designing process. For example according to HIPPA requirements you should have to provide and implement a certain level of security and other network standards.

Network infrastructure essentials

Cisco recommends keep the following things in mind while designing a network and these are the key aspect of any network.

  •  Availability
  •  Efficiency
  •  Functionality
  • Manageability
  • Performance
  • Scalability

Availability:

Your critical business applications have are accessible to authorize persons during all the time, most of the companies work for 24/7 and you should have the alternative ways to accessing your critical applications in case of failure of main medium or link, for example you can use the dialup connection as backup. The goal of availability while designing the network is setup the redundancy so that resources are available to authorize people at all the time.

 Efficiency:

You can provide the efficiency with placing the best hardware and software in the network. Also make sure that your network equipment is cost effective, you can also build the most efficient network with choosing the most suitable and cost effective hardware and software. You can provide the efficiency with QoS, AAA and filtering.

 Functionality:

Your all network applications and devices should be performing all the functions properly. You have to make sure, does your network infrastructure suppose the all the services running in your network? For example you are using the Microsoft dotnet then you have the enough bandwidth and hardware to work your applications to work efficiently.

Manageability:

You can manage your network using different tools like Ciscoworks or tools that can improve control over the network like capacity management, monitoring performance and detecting fault. You also need to manage the network security.

Performance:

You also need to focus of network performance during designing the network, make sure that all your applications and devices have bandwidth they need.

Scalability:

You network should be scalable for future improvements and installations. Your design should be flexible enough to merge acquisitions.
