When I decided to upgrade my old router, the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 was one of the first ones that caught my eye. It has many great features and promises excellent performance, so I decided to try it. I’m glad I did because this router has exceeded my expectations.

The first thing I noticed about the GT-AX11000 is its design. It’s a sleek and stylish router that looks great in any home. It’s also easy to set up and use, which is essential since I’m not a tech expert.

The GT-AX11000 offers great performance for gaming and streaming. It has a bandwidth of 11000Mbps, which is enough to handle the most challenging tasks. It also has a 1.8GZ quad-core processor, 1 GB RAM, and 256 MB Flash to handle multiple devices without any issues. The router also supports MU-MIMO and OFDMA for better performance in crowded areas.

Overall, I’m very impressed with the ASUS GT-AX11000. It’s a great router for gaming and streaming, and it also offers excellent features for parental control and security. If you’re in search of an ultra-performance router, I highly recommend the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000.

 Alternative Options

Although it is an excellent router with wifi 6, and there are currently limited routers with WIFI 6 features, it is much more expensive. We have shared some fastest and best routers for ATT fiber internet, you can also check out those. So you may consider a few other options as well:

The ASUS Ax88U wifi router

The ASUS Ax88U wifi router is cheaper and also supports AiMesh. But it’s a dual-band and lacks the VPN fusion feature that allows you to use your internet connection through other devices like smart TVs. But it has a theoretical speed rating of 6000, so technically the ROGAx11000 would be better in all specs. But when using Ethernet backhaul, I lose one band from my current firmware setting. It has almost the same performance as the ASUS ROG GT-AX11000.

You can also try the TP-LInk AX90U wifi 6 Router with great features at less price than this router.

When I started looking for a new router, the TP-Link Archer AX11000 seemed an excellent choice. The company’s latest innovation is AiMesh equivalent OneMesh feature, and they also announced that this model would be supported longer than previous ones by ASUS or anyone else! This router also has good reviews on the internet so you can consider this router as an alternative to ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000.

NETGEAR Nighthawk (RAX120) wifi 6 Router

This wifi router also has great features and is cheaper than ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000. It’s easy to set up, and you can manage your home network from anywhere with the NETGEAR Nighthawk app. Netgear’s RAX120 was the most viable alternative option for me. It has multi-gig LAN ports up to 5Gbps, whereas ROG GT-Ax11000 only has one 2.5 Gbps port on its router, which cannot keep up with my needs in terms of speed rating and availability.

WiFi 6 Dual-Band Gigabit Router
Range Up to 3,500 sq.ft
Up to 6 Gbps Speed

You can also check out the Netgear Orbi wifi 6 Router as an alternative.

Conclusion

On paper, ROG Ax11000 is undoubtedly the best router on the market, including what’s coming in the near future. As a single router, this deserved 5 stars for sure.

In AiMesh mode, I had initially struggled due to network stability issues. I was lucky enough to solve this on my own with an internet search; however, ASUS tech support was no help. This router is expensive compared to other wifi routers on the market.

After reading this ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 review, you should know whether or not this router is right for you. It has many great features and offers excellent performance. If you’re looking for a high-quality router that can handle all your gaming and streaming needs, the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 is worth considering. However, if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative that still offers great features and performance, the TP-Link Archer AX11000 or NETGEAR Nighthawk RAX120 might be a better option. Whichever router you choose, do your research to find the one that best suits your needs.
